# Fort Collins Rockhounds Club

> Rock and mineral club in Fort Collins, Colorado (incorporated 1957 as Fort Collins Rock Hounds, Inc.). Members share an interest in rocks, minerals, fossils, lapidary work (cutting and polishing, tumbling, faceting) and jewelry making. The club holds monthly meetings, runs field trips within about half a day's drive of Fort Collins, and sponsors the annual Fort Collins Gem and Mineral Show. Visitors, including children, are always welcome at meetings.

- Meetings: 7:00 pm, the third Monday of each month except July, August, and December. July's meeting is a potluck picnic in the park and includes bingo for rocks. There is no meeting in August. December's meeting is a dinner and gift exchange.

## Gem & Mineral Show (2026)
- 63rd Annual 2026 Gem and Mineral Show, featuring Fossils and Geodes. This show has already taken place; next year's details will be posted when available.
- Dates and hours:
  - Friday, March 20, 2026: 4 – 8 p.m.
  - Saturday, March 21, 2026: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  - Sunday, March 22, 2026: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Venue: Thomas M. McKee 4-H, Youth and Community Building, The Ranch / Larimer County Fairgrounds, 5280 Arena Circle, Loveland, CO 80538. Parking is free for this event.
- Admission:
  - Adults (18+): $4 daily or $7 for a 3-day pass
  - Students (12–18 yrs) with ID: $1
  - Children under 12: FREE with adult
- At the show: Exhibits, Door Prizes, Grab Bags, Silent Auction, Demonstrations, Gem & Mineral Dealers. No dealer space available.
